POLSON — Stephen “Steve” J. Lean, age 76, passed away January 19, 2023, at his home. He was born in 1946 to Steve and Georgine Lean. He spent his younger years in Butte.
In 1964, he married his childhood sweetheart, Beverly. Together, they raised two children.
During his life, he worked as a hard rock underground miner in several states, until returning to Polson. He was then employed at CSKT until retiring in 2008. He loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing. He loved his family and took great pride in them, his heritage, and his home, especially his beautiful yard.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beverly; his daughters, Stephanie (Tedd) Herreid and Jacqueline (Tony) Bonney; brother, Josh Armijo; several grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Per his request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please donate to an animal shelter of your choice. Memories and condolences may be sent to the family at www.lakefuneralhomeandcremation.com.
Arrangements are under the care of The Lake Funeral Home and Crematory.
