Lynn Sue Weiss (Hunter) went to be with the Lord and the love of her life Larry August 17, 2018, after a long struggle with cancer, at home surrounded by her family.
Born June 5, 1955 in St. Ignatius; Lynn was the daughter of Mary West and Clarence Hunter. She attended Polson schools and went on to become a Licensed Beautician. She met the love of her life and was married to Larry Weiss March 20,1988 in Ferndale, Washington. Lynn was amazing at whatever she did in life. Her love for cooking and sewing showed, all her nieces and nephews always loved going to her house for meals, the all-time favorite was her Fried Chicken. Her impeccable skill for sewing never seized to amaze her family and friends, she was always making clothes, blankets, hats, etc. for everyone. Lynn’s sense of humor included embarrassing her siblings whenever the opportunity arose. She enjoyed sitting in the casino playing nickels and visiting with people.
She is survived by her four Children Shane Hunter of Washington; Desmond MacKay of Montana, Mary Weiss of Washington, Stephanie Weiss of Washington, and Step-son Brian Hakim of Washington. Grandchildren: Taylor, Kaidence, Chelsey, Jocelyn, Madelyn, Nicholas, Ambria and One Great-Grandchild: Blakely. Brother’s Alan Skaw (Jill), Clarence Skaw (Suzie), Russell Hunter, Richard Hunter (Vicki), Jeff Hunter (Sue), Henry West; Sister’s Glenda Hunter and Shelley West. And numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband Larry Weiss, Grandma Lena Orton, Sister Florence Hunter, Niece Rene Strahan, and many other’s whom she adored.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers that all donations be put in the account at Whitefish Credit Union under Wagonburner.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Harborview Medical Center for all of their loving care and support.Services will be held at the Polson Tribal Senior Center August 17, 2019 2 p.m. Please feel free to bring a side dish and stories.
