Georgie L Koll, age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 14, 2018, in Ronan. She was born November 25, 1936, in Jerome Idaho, to William “Bill” Wilcox and Annie (Achenbach) Steen. She was the first-born child to Bill and Annie followed by her brother Steve Wilcox. After her parents divorce she welcomed her brother David Steen and sister Nancy Steen Jones.

Georgie grew up in Twin Falls and the Stanley Basin area and graduated high school and college from Twin Falls. Georgie was a self-determined young girl who took care of her brother and knew what she wanted in life.  When she was 12 years old she told her dad that she was going to marry Bill Koll one day, even though Bill was 12 years older and had just returned from the service. Everyone believed this was the imagination of a precocious child, until December 28, 1955 when she married the love of her life, Bill Koll. Georgie and Bill worked for her dad for several years in Idaho. Then they decided to move to Montana. They made their home in Arlee and were happy to start raising children. They had several wonderful foster children, Betty, Joann, Venita, and Carl. They were blessed to be able to adopt their only daughter, Mary Alice.

Georgie worked many jobs from bookkeeper, manager, owner and Dispatched for the Sweet Grass County Sheriff office. After she retired Georgie and Bill remained close to her daughter and family.

Georgie loved to spend her time visiting with her family and friends. She could always be found with two or three books around her house half read, and several pictures she had painted.

Georgie is preceded in death by both her parents, husband Bill, foster daughters Joann Hammer, and Venita Wall, foster son Carl Finley brothers Steve Wilcox and David Steen.

Survivors include her daughters Mary Alice Koll (Gale Campbell), Betty Weaselhead (Dave), Grandsons Donald (Marisa) Chaney, and Tony Chaney, and Granddaughter Alora Cowen. Great grandchildren Elain Rose Chaney, and Evan William Chaney, sister Nancy (Lee) Jones; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends

At Georgie’s request no service will be held at this time. Her ashes will be released later next year in Idaho along side husband.
