ST. IGNATIUS — Francis “Franc” Chalwain Durgeloh age 57 passed away at his home in St. Ignatius on October 22, 2018.

He was born on August 21, 1961 at St. Joseph Hospital in Polson to William I. Durgeloh and Delores J. Courville. He was raised in St. Ignatius and educated at the Ursuline’s Elementary School, St. Ignatius Public Schools, Billings Central and later went on to receive his A.A. Degree in Building Trades from Salish Kootenai College.

He has been married to his beautiful wife Joann for 33 years. Francis worked doing Post and Pole, CSKT Natural Resources Fisheries and Water Management and later at Salish Kootenai Housing in the Maintenance Department. Francis enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, and driving around in the mountains with friends and family.

He was a traditional dancer, drummer and singer and most of all he loved being a selah, tupeya, and scuba diver.

Francis was preceded in by both of his sets of grandparents, his parents, brothers Dave and Bull, his sister Adele, his nephews Billy Joe Lumpry, Wes Benn and Kyle Tanner.

Is surviving family are his beloved wife Joann, children Bobby Joe, Shanna and Tim, his grandchildren Taneesha, Tarissa, Robert, Eljin, David, Justina, Kaylee, Alissa and his great grandchildren Alexandria, Jarett, Christine and one on the way. Francis’ brothers and sister are Rose Lozeau, Jolene Durgeloh, Les, Art, Dan and Nickie Trahan and Vic Stevens; and his Uncle Alex and Judy Courville.

Wake was held Wednesday October 24, 2018, Rosary on Thursday October 25, 2018, and Funeral on Friday October 26, 2018 with Mass at St. Ignatius Catholic Church and Burial at Snyelmn Sntmntne Cemetery.
