Edward Michael McClure

POLSON – Edward Michael McClure, 57, passed away Oct 28, 2020 in Missoula. 

He was a member of the Confederated Salish Kootenai Tribe. He was born on November 14, 1962 in Elmo to Isaac Pierre and Mary Baptiste and was adopted by Harold (Mickey) McClure and Gertrude Matt McClure. 

Eddie was born cognately delayed and legally blind. He was raised in Great Falls and graduated from Great Falls High. 

He married LaVonne Anderson and they later divorced and to this union they were blessed with two daughters – Rachel Gingras and Delila Gingras. 

Eddie had been living in Polson for several years at the time of his passing. Eddie loved to collect and watch movies as well as playing PS4 games. 

He was preceded in death by both sets of his parents and his sisters Donna Matt McClure and Julia Isadore; and his nephews Chris LaMere and Marshall McClure. Survivors include his sister April Zimmerer; nieces Tiffany Zimmerer, Courtney Zimmerer and Opal McClure and nephew Susep Zimmerer 

A viewing was held at Foster Funeral Chapel in St. Ignatius with service being held at Jocko Valley Baptist Church on Nov. 3rd. He was laid to rest by family in the Jocko Cemetery.
