Darrell William “Bill” (Orr) Kehoe passed away on Wednesday February 27, 2019 in Polson. He was 71 yrs. old and was born in St. Ignatius to his biological parents William Harrison Orr Jr. and Marie C. Trahan. In 1958 Thomas Luke Kehoe adopted Bill and from there on everyone knew him as Bill Kehoe. He was the fourth sibling of five. He is preceded in death by both his Fathers and his Mom. Two sisters Patsy Miller and Diana Newman and a brother Russell John Orr. He is survived by his sister Janet Enos.

He was a member of the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes. He was in the Army from 1966 to 1968 and fought in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1968. After he got out he worked for Hanna Car Wash and then moved back to Montana. He worked for the Tribe as a grounds keeper and his last job was the Sargent of Arms for the Tribal Council. He was also known as the Mayor of Pache. He loved to mow lawns and help the elderly. You could always recognize Bill because he has a cigarette in his mouth and a Pepsi in his hand. And was known for driving a Purple PT Cruiser.

A Celebration of Bills Life will be held on September 14 at the Longhouse in St. Ignatius from 1pm to 6pm with Military Honors. Please bring your favorite dish and story.
