POLSON — February is the month of love and at the library we are celebrating not only “Library Lovers’ Month” but also “I Love to Read Month”. Looking for a great way to show your love of the library and books? Participate in our annual Adopt-a-Book donation program. For a $15 donation you get to choose a children’s book from a selection and we will attach a special message from you inside. This is a great way to support the library and honor a loved one, or any book lover. This program runs February 3 through 29, while the selection lasts.

Our Needle Arts Series returns this month with beginner crochet classes. Tuesdays at 2 p.m. in the library meeting room join us, as we learn the basic crochet stitches and try crochet in the round. Please bring a hook and cotton yarn. We have a small number of hooks available for purchase and will also have some spare yarn to practice with.

Do you love board games? Would you like to play in a group? Our new Board Game Group will meet Wednesday, February 19 at 2 p.m. All ages are encouraged to play. We have a selection of games ready for you.

Heather is back on Tuesday, February 25 at 2 p.m. with “Tablets: from starting up to playing games.” She will show you the basics of playing games, downloading free e-books using our apps Overdrive and Libby, and using other applications. You can bring your own tablet or borrow one from the library for the class.

We will show one movie on Friday, February 7 at 3:45 p.m. This new animated release will have you questioning how kooky your family really is. Do you know the title? Check our website for the answer.

We have had many inquiries about tax forms this year. We have the Federal tax booklets in the library and forms are on their way. As a reminder, the State of Montana no longer prints booklets and forms, so you can find those online at

The Library is open Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will be closed on Thursday, February 13 for an all-staff training day and Monday, February 17 for Presidents’ Day. Visit our website, our Facebook page, and check the calendar section for updates on the happenings at the Library.
