RONAN — Spring Creek Road Update: The planned permanent closure of Spring Creek Road at US Highway 93 (US 93) has been delayed due to wet weather. We will notify you when the new closure date has been determined.
Over the next week, Riverside Contracting will continue milling operations on the northbound lane of US 93. Storm drain installation on the west side of US 93 also continues.
Drivers should anticipate extended sections of gravel surfaces and one-lane traffic, resulting in travel delays of up to 15 minutes. Left turns will be prohibited in certain areas.
Crews will work on-site Monday to Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. until the holiday weekend (Memorial Day), weather permitting.
Glover Road and US 93 Safety Improvements
North of the Ronan-North project, MDT, in partnership with Riverside Contracting, will begin work on Glover Road and US 93 Monday, May 15. This safety project is near Pablo on Glover Road, just west of US 93. In addition, pavement preservation work will be completed and extends from just north of Ronan to the north of Pablo, ending at the intersection of US 93 with Minesinger Trail.
This coming week, pavement preservation work from just north of Ronan to Pablo will kick off with crack sealing. In addition, signpost installation and bridge deck sealing (concrete, water repellent sealant) will begin on US 93. Traffic control will be present. Drivers can anticipate 10 – 15-minute delays when traveling through the work zone. In addition, electrical work in preparation for the yellow flashing light will take place on Glover Road, weather permitting. For more information, visit https://mdt.mt.gov/pubinvolve/gloverroad/.
Remember the three Ss of work zone safety when traveling through the construction zone: speed, space, and stress. Slow down when approaching work zones and follow posted speed limits. Leave adequate braking room between your vehicle and the one ahead of you. Keep your cool, pay attention, and plan for delays.
