A hand-carved rocking pony

A hand-carved rocking pony by B&B Woodcrafting one of the prizes in a raffle to support MMIW awareness.

Raffle tickets are on sale to benefit the efforts to stop the Missing Murdered Indigenous Women crisis. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the MMIW: 50 percent will go to the Blackfeet community College for their national program and 50 percent will go to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes for their local needs.

B&B Woodcrafting provided a hand-carved Montana-made miniature heirloom rocking pony with real horsehair, Pendleton brand scale blanket and buffalo nickel accents as one of the prizes. Also, up for raffle is a Pendleton® Yakima camp blanket.

The pony is on display now at Kwataqnuk in Polson until April 7 and then will move to the Three Chiefs Culture Center in St. Ignatius from April 7-22. It will then come to Missoula to Bayern brewery April 26-May 2.

The tickets are 20$ each or 6 for 100$. We are trying to bring as much awareness to this cause and give financial aid.

We have tickets on sale at Bayern brewery, Rockin Rudy’s, the T&C, and several places on the reservation like Silver Dollar, Club Bar, Three Chiefs Culture Center, Kwataqnuk Resort and Casino.

Special thanks to Detail Dave/Altered Skin, Exact Image, Home Depot, All American Trophy, Fedex Office Printing, and B&B Woodcrafting.
