RONAN — MAPS is excited to begin our fourth year of programming in the Flathead Reservation & Lake County! This year, with the support of Ronan High School (RHS), Greater Montana Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts, we are offering Ronan High School students the amazing opportunity to work with a nationally recognized photojournalist in Through Your Lens - a MAPS photojournalism class taught by Tailyr Irvine from April 13 to May 20.

In this 6-week course, National Geographic Explorer (and RHS alumni), Tailyr Irvine, will teach students how to make a photograph say 1,000 words as they explore every aspect of photojournalism using MAPS professional equipment, including DSLR cameras and iMacs with the Adobe Creative Suite. In addition, MAPS is working with multiple Montana media outlets to document their process and publish their work upon completion so they can see photojournalism in action.
