Building strong communities requires insightful leaders who have the ability to communicate and work effectively with others. Leadership Flathead Reservation is designed to facilitate development and growth of local leaders, provide opportunities to interact with other community members, and explore local relevant issues. The program spans nine months, with a two-day retreat in September and eight monthly sessions from October through May.

The Leadership Flathead Reservation program provides leadership skill development and activities, and information about various aspects of the community including presentations and tours. Networking and relationship building will be a natural outcome throughout the program.

Leadership Skills Development Topics include:

  • Self-Awareness and a New Awareness of Co-workers
  • Understanding Individual Strengths
  • Building Trust
  • Cultural Intelligence
  • Employee Engagement and Productivity
  • Public Speaking
  • Emotional Intelligence and Soft Skills
  • Conflict Management
  • Challenges of Younger Managers

Applications are due on May 31. Please contact Karen Kallestad, Lake County Community Development Corporation with questions: (406) 676-5901.
