From Morigeau for Montana

MISSOULA — Today, U.S. Representative Sharice Davids endorsed current Montana Representative, Shane Morigeau, for Montana State Auditor. Congresswoman Davids is one of the first two Native American women ever elected to Congress. Congresswoman Davids has quickly become a leading voice for workers, affordable and quality healthcare, Native Americans, bipartisanship, and the LGBTQ community. Here’s what Sharice Davids had to say about Shane:

“Like me, Shane knows the importance of fighting for the hard-working people in this country, and he refuses to sit on the sidelines as big corporations profit at the expense of Montana families. It’s more important than ever that we support and elect candidates that actually understand the needs of their communities and want to listen to the very people they are elected to serve,” said Sharice Davids.

“America needs candidates like Shane who will advocate for equality – candidates that put their words into action. That’s why I proudly stand with Shane Morigeau and urge Montana to elect Shane as the first Native American State Auditor,” said Sharice Davids.

Shane Morigeau is a lifelong Montanan and a member of the Salish and Kootenai Tribes. Morigeau graduated from the University of Montana School of Law and has openly campaigned on expanding access and protecting public lands, protecting the investments of Montana’s senior citizens, and is committed to ensuring that Montanans have access to affordable and quality health insurance.
