PABLO — A holiday benefit concert for 2nd Circle Lodge and Women's Sober Living Home was held on Wednesday, December 22. Among the performances were a hoop dance, Silent Night rendition in the Salish language and a comedy act. Everyone in attendance were in a festive spirit and the performances were a wonderful addition to the mood.

Tribal rapper Foreshadow provided the music; J.T. Parot performed the hoop dance; Makala Buffalo sang Silent Night in Salish; musicians Melanie Dent, Charlie Watts, Dos Chiccas, Patrick Matt, Jr., Wildflowers, Antony Bossy, and Tumas Johnson performed. Comedian Thomas McClure added some chuckles, and guest speaker Alexia Pierre shared some timely words.

Guy Hill provided chili and fry bread for the community and performers.

Community partners and contributors are Department of Human Resource Development Transit, Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, Lake County Drug Court, CSKT Natural Resources Department, Salish Kootenai College Bookstore, Three Chiefs Cultural Center, CSKT Dental Program, Showboat Cinemas, Fresh Life Church, DHRD Circles of Care, DHRD, Tribal Social Services, and DHRD accounting.
