TRIBAL FORESTRY

(CONTRACT POSITION) 

The successful applicant is required to have training and experience in the safe operation of heavy equipment which includes crawler tractors, excavator, backhoes, skid steers, trucks, tractors and trailers. A minimum of 200 hundred hours of operation time is required to qualify. Possession of a valid Montana Driver’s License/CDL with required endorsements to permit operation of trucks and tractors capable of hauling 50 ton loads. Driving duties conducted with a valid State of Montana driver’s license require BIA/Northwest Regional Office “Safe Driver Approval” and employee adherence to all responsibilities under the Bureau of Indian Affairs Motor Vehicle Operator Policy. Physical exam and/or pack test for fire activities and Department of Transportation as required by government and state regulations. Basic Firefighter training. Standards for survival training. All applicants are required to submit a Tribal application, copies of relevant transcripts and/or certificates, a copy of valid state driver’s license to the Tribal Personnel Department @ 406.675.2700, ext. 1259 or visit the csktribes.org website for the application. Salary range $19.20 to $22.24 per hour. Closing date will be Thursday, July 25, 2019 @ 5:30 p.m. This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) within the definition of the CSKT Drug Testing policy.The successful applicant, if not already employed by the Tribes must pass a pre-hire drug test.
