Nominations open for special person of Polson

POLSON — We all know them….the people and businesses that seem to go the extra mile to make Polson the vibrant community that we all love. That’s why the Polson Chamber of Commerce is asking its members, along with members of the community, to nominate a special person or business for one of the Chamber’s annual awards. These awards recognize businesses and individuals that have had a special impact on the community. Award-winners will be honored at the Chamber’s annual Gala, scheduled for January 13, 2018.

Nominations will be accepted according to the criteria listed for each award. The awards include:
• Not-for-Profit Business of the Year: Given to a 501©(3) organization that shows exemplary support to the community while adhering to its mission.
• Andy Anderson Memorial Award for Community Volunteer of the Year : Awarded to the individual who volunteers their time to improving the community.
• John Tiskus Memorial Award for Citizen of the Year: Given to that special person whose leadership and vision has helped our community to grow. 
• Randy Ingram Leadership Award: Recognizes a citizen who exhibits outstanding community leadership, giving unselfishly of their time to better our community.
• Business of the Year: Awarded to the business that provides jobs and growth for our community, encourages volunteerism in their employees and demonstrates economic support of the Polson area and business community. 

Nominations are open until December 15, 2017. Nomination forms are available online at www.polsonchamber.com or at the Chamber office, 418 Main Street, Polson. All recognized businesses must be members in good standing of the Polson Chamber.
