Promote and protect your authentic Indian art and craftwork


PABLO — On Tuesday, September 19 from 11 am to 4:30 pm at The People’s Center located at 56633 Highway 93, The U.S. Department of the Interior, Indian Arts and Crafts Board, in collaboration with The People’s Center, will host a series of free panels and presentations on:

• Federal and State laws governing the sale of Indian art and craftwork
• Trademark, copyright, and patent protections
• Related consumer protection and business advice

This event is open to the public, and no registration is required.

Participants include: Ken Van Wey, Program Specialist of the Indian Arts and Crafts Board, USDI; Susan Anthony, Attorney, Global Intellectual Property Academy, Office of Policy and International Affairs of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; Melissa Schlichting, Deputy Attorney General for the Montana Department of Justice; Lonie Stimac, Industry Services & Outreach of the Made in Montana/Native American Made in Montana; and Cinda Holt, Business Development Specialist of the Montana State Arts Council.
