Free business training classes available September 18

PABLO — Free business training classes are available this Fall, beginning September 18.
Classes include:

• Monday, September 18 – Before You Start that Business, 6-9 p.m.

• Tuesday, September 19 – Understanding Financials, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

• Tuesday, October 3 - December 19 – Indianpreneurship, 6-9 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday evenings for 12 weeks

• Tuesday, October 17 -- Preparing a Cost Proposal, 6-8 p.m.

• Tuesday, November 14 -- Government Contracting 101, 6-8 p.m.

• Wednesday, November 15 - Government Contracting 102, 6-8 p.m.

Tribal members are also reminded of the Tribal Business Owners Quarterly Meeting on Wednesday, October 11, from 8:30 – 10 a.m. in the Small Conference Room across the hall from the Tribal Council chambers. Breakfast will be provided.

Training classes are being offered by the Tribes’ Economic Development Office in response to Tribal members’ training interests identified in the 2014 Job and Training Needs Survey. Some training costs are covered by a grant from the Administration for Native Americans and others by the Native American Development Corporation or from an anonymous donation to Vision Keepers, Inc.

Before You Start that Business is being offered at the Community Center in Elmo, with a light supper provided. Indianpreneurship is being taught at the Vision Keepers Office just south of Safeway on Highway 93, with a light supper provided. All other classes will be in the CSKT Computer Training Room in the lower level of the old Tribal Complex building in Pablo.
