Tribal Health St Ignatius Clinic move-in closure pushed back two weeks
ST. IGNATIUS They say there are only two things that are sure things in the lives of Americans: death and taxes. Add construction delays to a subset of the sure-thing list: its not as certain as death and taxes but it is as near as a person can get to a sure thing bet these days.
On Monday, less than two weeks after getting assurances that the newly constructed south wing of the St. Ignatius Tribal Health and Human Services Clinic would be completed in time to accommodate the previously announced scheduled move of some THHS programs into the new wing, Tribal Health Director Kevin Howlett was informed that there would be a delay two-week delay.
Colin Lane, lead project architect for MacArthur, Wells and Means Architects, PC, told Howlett that there were some construction odds and ends that would not be completed as planned.
Consequently, that notification has a huge ripple effect and completely washes out the proposed closure dates THHS announced to accommodate the move in. The move in closures have been postponed for two-weeks from the previously announced schedule.
The new closure schedule:
The St. Ignatius THHS Clinic will be closed from 7:30 a.m. Thursday, July 24 through 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, to allow affected staff and programs to move into the new wing of the clinic. It will reopen 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 30.
It is suggested that patients with any medical business including pharmaceutical prescriptions at the St. Ignatius THHS Clinic to plan with the closure dates in mind. The Polson THHS Clinic pharmacy will remain open during this transition time at the St. Ignatius THHS Clinic.
All other THHS clinics will remain open and staffed during this time. People are encouraged to access them for their healthcare needs, including scheduled and drop-in services.
Behavioral Health and X-ray services will remain open during this transition in the existing St. Ignatius THHS Clinic.
