Tribal Health seeking naming suggestions for three clinics

ST. IGNATIUS — The Tribal Health and Human Services Department is currently seeking naming suggestions for three of its five clinical facilities.

The three THHS clinics to be named are located in Elmo, Polson and St. Ignatius. They have been recently remodeled; or remodeled, reconstructed and expanded; or newly constructed.

The naming suggestions should reflect the cultural attributes of the Salish, Pend d’Oreille and Kootenai people in relation to spiritual and physical wellbeing, medicine and healing; or have historical significance to the area and the people served at Tribal Health.

• Please include: submitter name with contact information, a short narrative about suggested name and reason for submitting it.

The naming suggestions will be taken until Friday, July 25.

The other two clinics in Ronan and Arlee will be named when anticipated upgrades are made. That is at least three years down the road.

The names will be announced at the opening dedication of the St. Ignatius THHS Clinic the first week of August.
