Ronan awards outstanding basketball team

RONAN — On Monday, March 17, the Ronan High School passed out its annual awards for the 2013 basketball season. Coach Steve Woll announced that Jared Dupuis was voted the Most Improved Player and Cedric Earthboy won the Most Inspirational Player Award. Voted Best Defensive Player Award was a tie between junior, Colton McCrea and senior, Tim Woll. McCrea was also voted the Mr. Hustle Award. The Chief Award (Most Valuable Player) went to senior Woll.

Awards for the girls varsity team was the following: Best Offensive Player, Raymi Clairmont; Best Defensive Player, Kendra Starkel; and Angela North Piegan was voted the Most Valuable Maiden Player.

Coach Woll wanted to add a thanks to “all of his senior players both girls and boys.” Both teams are in a rebuilding season and are looking forward to a great 2015 basketball season. A special thanks went out to the boy’s coaches this season: Robert McCrea, Jr., freshman team and Ron Couture who coached the boy’s junior varsity teams.
