Local screenings of documentary "Young Lakota"
PABLO — The Adeline Mathias Endowment and the CSKT Community Empowerment Program present three Reservation screenings of “Young Lakota”. A documentary on real-life political issues focused on women's rights and tribal awareness. Everyone is invited to participate in these free screenings scheduled for December 10, 11 and 12, 2013, in Pablo, Arlee and Elmo.
The program begins at 6 p.m. with light refreshments and the show starts at 6:30. Mark your calendars for: Tuesday, December 10, at the SKC Arlee /Charlo Theater in Pablo; Wednesday, December 11, at the Arlee Community Center; and Thursday, December 12, at the Elmo Community Center.
This film depicts an actual account of tribal politics with a very powerful message for the tribal electorate. The Adeline Mathias Endowment supports Indian and women's rights advocacy and hopes to inspire the Get Out The Vote in the General election. “Young Lakota” is a great primer for a political awakening on the Flathead Reservation. Bring your family and friends!
