MDT proposes roadway safety improvements south of Dayton
DAYTON - The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal regarding the following roadway safety improvements on U.S. 93 south of Dayton, in Lake County:
• install chevrons, curve-warning signs and speed plaques at the curve west of Big Arm between reference marker 73.8 and reference marker 74.2;
• and slope flattening, signing, and upgrading the overhead flashing beacon at the intersection with MT 28 near Elmo between reference markers 77.4 and 77.9.
This project is tentatively scheduled for construction in the fall of 2014, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding.
No new right-of-way or utility relocations are anticipated for this project.
