Human Rights Coalition hosts training for parents & caregivers
POST CREEK — Are you asking the right questions when advocating for your children with school, medical providers, housing programs and social services? The Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition is sponsoring a training titled "The Right Question Project" on July 31, from 6-9 p.m. at Mission Valley United Methodist Church, 70715 Hwy 93 (top of Post Creek hill).
This FREE training will be facilitated by Allison Dunne of W.O.R.D. Missoula (Women's Opportunity and Resource Development) to teach parents and caregivers skills for problem solving, question formulation, and self-advocacy.
Three (3) credits from the Montana Early Childhood Project and Salish Kootenai College continuing education credits are being offered, as well as a small incentive for parents. The class is limited to 30 participants; contact Cathy at 745-4259 to reserve a spot. Registration deadline is July 29. There will be a get-aquainted potluck at 5:30p.m.
