PABLO — The entries were a tad less in this year’s Two Eagle River Art Slam, but the good times, talents and laughs were at peek last Wednesday.

A handful of students competed in nine categories: poetry, prose, music, quilting, beadwork, traditional/nontraditional items, 2 dimensional, 3 dimensional art and photography.

The number of entries may have declined this year due to graduation happening before the “slam” and some of the students no longer there, said Rebekah Dalbey TERS teacher and Art Slam coordinator.

For the annual end of the year school celebration, TERS has hosted a family and community dinner. This year the cook out was scheduled prior to the “slam” to offer a nice dinner and show afternoon.

“It’s so nice to see parents watching their kids with pride,” stated Dalbey.
