Kangen water utilized by tribal health clinics for health benefits

BILLINGS — Miracle water that has been known to save lives has made its journey from Japan to around the world and now to a couple of reservations in the United States. The water is ionized. Ionization lowers the electron millivolt charge that creates a reduction in oxidation resulting in a true “anti-oxidant”, according to Billings Kangen Water Distributor Shawn Wetzel.

Ionized water is claimed to show improvements in health, and especially in diabetic patients according to some tribal health officials.

Dr. Robert Young, author of “The pH Miracle” stated that “to maintain or restore your body’s natural pH balance for optimal health, drink restructured, ionized water which is rich in antioxidants and alkaline minerals. Ionized water helps reverse the effects of acid accumulation in the body, the root cause of degenerative diseases and aging.”

Dr. Hidemitsu Hayashi, Director of the Water Institute of Japan, conducted a study on water decades ago with an ionized water form, which he calls, “life-sustaining fluid.”

Hayashi says all water is not the same, as many believe.

There is scientific clarification explains why ionized water stands above the “natural” sense of the water we drink, he says. The average person absorbs an excess of acid and alkaline through intake of foods and drinks, throwing off our natural pH balance. Our bodies require a pH balance to keep healthy. This miracle water offers the balanced needed, Hayashi adds.

Four major contributors to acid imbalance are: acid forming foods, stress, exposure to toxic chemicals, and impure water.

Oxidation breaks down the body and basically results not only in wrinkles but degeneration of bones, organs and glandular systems and weakening of cellular membranes that eventually leads to loss of vitality and disease and early death.

Increasing alkalinity leads to decreasing oxidation, Hayashi states. The effect of oxidation of the cells can be better described as hepatitis, cirrhosis, pancreatitis, diabetes cancer of liver and pancreas; and much more – all with a common denominator of cancer.

Independent researchers for Kangen Water reported that drinking the water can dramatically reduce the oxidation that cause biological aging.

The Eastern Shoshone Tribal Health is the first tribe in the U.S. to test the water and distribute it.

In 2011, Eastern Shoshone Tribal Health Director Harmony Spoonhunter stated, that “Kangen” water was in high demand among their clients and served the water at all facilities in the community. The water was also served at events including the Indian Days celebration that reached over 2,000 people.

“The feedback we received from the people has been so positive,” stated Spoonhunter.

According to Spoonhunter, one of the patients lost 90 pounds and is off diabetic medications and is serving as an inspiration in the community.

“We are keeping track of our clients that we are serving the water to. This healing water has made a great impact on our community.”

The water is not only healing but boosts energy, says Wetzel.

The Fort Peck Diabetes program purchased the ionized water machines in the spring of 2011. Diabetic Nurse Educator Linda Melbourne reported in the winter of 2012 that many of the elders and diabetic patients offered great responses to the outcome of the “healthy” water.

“Many people stated since they been using the water they have noticed many changes in their diabetes symptoms,” Melbourne said. Some of the changes have been less leg cramps, sugar levels subsiding, and feeling more active, she added.

Melbourne said many raved on the flavor. “It tastes clean,” she said.
