CSKT seeking public comments on Elmo Cash Store environmental remediation
POLSON — The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) are seeking public comments on the draft Cleanup Plan for the remediation of the Elmo Cash Store Facility in Elmo, Montana. Historical use of the facility has resulted in soil and groundwater petroleum contamination.
A public meeting has been scheduled on September 19, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Elmo Community Center located just off Highway 93 in Elmo, Montana.
The public is encouraged to attend the public meeting to learn about the proposed remedial actions, ask questions, and provide comments.
Copies of the draft Cleanup Plan can be obtained by contacting Ms. Marlene McDanal in writing at CSKT, Solid & Hazardous Waste Specialist, Natural Resource Department, 301 West Main Street, Polson, MT 59854, or by calling or emailing her at 406-883-2888 and mmcdanal@cskt.org, respectively.
