Aquatic invasive species inspection stations set up in state

The Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Program Watercraft Inspection stations will be starting to open on Monday, May 14.

“The AIS Program has changed dramatically since last field season with most of our inspection stations this year being located either close to border crossings or on major travel route,” said Eileen Ryce, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

“If you have any questions please either contact me directly (at 406-444-2448), or the primary AIS staff contact for a particular station.”

• Ronan Hwy 93 North bound (rest area) – opens Wednesday, May 16, 7 days a week, 12 hours a day.

• Clearwater Junction (rest area) – opens Monday, May 14, 7 days a week, 12 hours a day.

• Eureka Hwy 37 West bound – opens May Tuesday, 15, 7 days a week, 10-12 hours a day.

• Dillon I-15 North bound – opens Tuesday, May 22; 4-7 days a week, 10 hours a day.

• Swan Roving Crew – covering the Swan area; 4-5 days a week, starting May.

• Wibaux I-94 West Bound (weigh station) – opens Tuesday, May 15, 4 days a week (days will vary throughout the season).
