Tribal Employees Christmas Campaign accepting donations

PABLO — Santa Clause, aka Ralph Goode, would like to remind the employees of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes that ‘tis the season of giving and sharing. And it is never too late to open up hearts and pocketbooks to share with the less fortunate.

Consequently the Tribal Employees Christmas Campaign is still accepting donations, including one-time donations.

People willing to donate monetarily should submit cash or a check to either Sharon Silberman at the tribal headquarters complex or Ralph Goode at the Mission Valley Power headquarters, both in Pablo.

People with gifts can turn them into Carrie Irvine at Salish Kootenai Housing Authority, also in Pablo. The presents will be wrapped then distributed through SKHA with the help of some friendly elves.

Goode said that some folks have been sponsoring families and providing all of them with gifts. It is worth consideration by others, he said.

In 2010, the Tribal Employee Christmas Campaign provided gifts to more than 415 children, 52 gift certificates for elders and gifts for 210 elders in assisted living homes.

For more information, call Ralph Goode at 883-7905.
