Public participation on CSKT DHRD LIHEAP plan sought

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes DHRD LIHEAP (Low Income Heating & Energy Assistance Program) is seeking public participation on the proposed revisions to the CSKT LIHEAP plan to request funding for FY 2012. Applications will be available and staff will be available to help complete the FY12 application.

Mike Pierre of the KERR Elderly Program will also be on site for questions or assistance with the Food Assistance Program, Medicare and Social Security.

Public participation sessions will begin on August 22 at the following locations from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.:
    St. Ignatius Indian Sr. Center - Monday Aug. 22
    Hot Spring Indian Sr. Center - Tuesday Aug. 23
    Arlee Indian Sr. Center - Tuesday Aug. 23
    Polson Indian Sr. Center - Wednesday Aug. 24
    Elmo Indian Sr. Center - Wednesday Aug. 24
    Ronan Indian Sr. Center - Thursday Aug. 25

Public participation is encouraged to address comments, questions, or concerns in person. If you are unable to attend you can put them in writing and send to the DHRD Department - ATTN: Renee. All written comments must be turned in by August 25.
