Montana FWP seeks public comment on land exchange in the Pablo and Ninepipe Wildlife Management Areas
KALISPELL — The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP), Region
One, is seeking public comment for the exchange of approximately 223
acres of state-owned land in the northern portion of Pablo Wildlife
Management Area by FWP for 240 acres of private property adjacent to
the southwest portion of Ninepipe Wildlife Management Area in order to
preserve the diverse array of upland and wetland species present in
that area.
Copies of the draft are available at the FWP office, 490 N.
Meridian Rd., Kalispell; Montana State Library, 1515 E 6th Ave.,
Helena; Polson City Library, 2 First Ave. E, Polson; and the FWP
website at fwp.mt.gov under Recent Public Notices. The draft is out for
a 30-day public review through October 9, 2009. A public meeting will
be held at the Ninepipes Lodge, 69286 US Highway 93, Charlo, Montana,
on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
