Local softball players named to all-state, all-conference teams
Several softball players from Polson, St. Ignatius and Ronan were
recently named to their respective all-conference teams and three of
the Polson players were picked for the Class A all-state team.
Mission Lady Bulldogs’ juniors Mattea Grant, second base and
Katie McDonald, catcher were named to the Western B-C Division
all-conference second team.
Polson Lady Pirates’ juniors Amanda James, shortstop, Sarah
Newton, third base and Rochelle Woods, first base were named to the
Class A all-state team. They also made the Western A all-conference
first team. Other Lady Pirates on the Western A all-conference first
team are Magee Gordon, senior, outfield, and SuSan Perez-Tenas, junior,
utility. Lady Pirates on the Western A all-conference second
team include; Dakota Peterson, junior, pitcher and Staci Benson,
sophomore, second base. Senior Caitlyn Vassar was an honorable mention
pick.
Ronan Maiden Kaylee Larson, junior, was named to the Central A all-conference second team.
