Golf for Griz Scramble set for June 27

RONAN — Area golfers and University of Montana coaches and staff will be teeing it up in Ronan again for the Annual Golf for Griz Tournament June 27. The 18-hole tourney, sponsored by the Mission Mountain Chapter (MMC) of the Grizzly Scholarship Association, will be a four-member co-ed scramble. A shotgun start will kick off the action at 11 a.m. at the Mission Mountain Country Club.

Griz coaches and staff will golf with participants on a rotating basis. Play and door prizes will be awarded.

The tourney will be followed by a pig roast barbecue and awarding of prizes. A silent auction will also be conducted. All proceeds will go toward funding scholarships for U of M athletes.

The fee for the tournament will be $90 per person. That fee will cover the golf, the barbecue and entry for door prizes. Barbecue only tickets are available for $25 each. To sign up for the tourney or obtain more information about it, call GSA Chapter President Al Skogen, (406) 676-4499 or email him at amskogen@ronan.net.

The entry deadline is June 22. Entries may be dropped off at the course clubhouse or sent to Skogen at 46324 Stagecoach Trail, Ronan, MT 59864.
