PABLO - The IMLS Historical Photograph Project is
receiving more
inquiries about the project. THE IMLS Project would like original
photographs, submitted by the owner. Owners should provide information
such as the identification of individuals, location, and date or
approximate date of photograph.
IMLS says it is possible for the program to scan
your photos
while you wait. Release forms will need to be signed when submitting
photographs. You may call want Mary Jane Charlo for an appointment for
her to visit your home to gather photographs and information if
necessary.
This is an opportunity for families to become a
part of
history. Local museums have also expressed an interest in working with
the IMLS photograph project.
Ronan and Hot Springs have locations and dates
chosen for their
community exhibit. History on the reservation includes both tribal and
non-tribal entities and both histories are intertwined. The photos
submitted for publication will emphasize this point, and possibly bring
to mind stories and discussion. if you're interested in participating,
please contact Mary Jane at 675-2700, ext. 1283, or by email at maryjanec@cskt.org.
