UM Griz football scrimmage comes to Polson in April
POLSON - University of Montana Grizzly football fans will have four
chances to have fun during the Spring Grizzly Scrimmage weekend in
Polson April 11 and 12. To begin with, they can meet Grizzly coaches
and staff during the Friday Night Social on the 11 in the Point Spread
sports bar below Ricciardi's restaurant, located at the six-mile marker
on Highway 35 east of Polson.
Refreshments and food will be available at the event that will
start at 5:30 p.m. Music will be provided by the Sons of Beaches
followed by the band Out on Bail.
The pre-game tailgate party will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday in
Boettcher Park on Flathead Lake below the old golf course. Fans can
take shuttle buses from the party to the scrimmage. The scrimmage will
begin at 1 p.m. in the Polson Sports Complex at Polson High School.
Before the start of the action, Head Coach Bobby Hauck will explain how
the scrimmage will work and what the Griz hope to accomplish.
Immediately following the action, a post scrimmage party with
coaches and players will take place at the Polson Golf Course. It will
be a good chance to meet the 2007 Big Sky Champions and perhaps get a
few autographs. Snacks and refreshments will be available. Music will
be provided by Out of Bluegrass.
The scrimmage is being hosted by the Mission Mountain Chapter
of the Grizzly Scholarship Association with commercial sponsorship
provided by Glacier Brewing and Ricciardis. |
