New Polson business to host Open House
POLSON — PilatesPlus, a new business on Main
Street, is opening its doors to the public for an Open House, Friday
November 30 during the downtown Polson Holiday Art Walk from 3-7pm.
PilatesPlus is a health and wellness studio offering
private and group Pilates instruction, home and studio based fitness
programs as well as therapeutic bodywork like massage and active
isolated stretching.
For the Art Walk, PilatesPlus is hosting a plethora of
artwork by our community's littlest artists from Cherry Valley
Elementary. Debbie Conrad, a harpist is providing holiday music. There
are refreshments and a chance to soak up the wonderfully energizing
atmosphere at PilatesPlus.
Melinda Leas, the owner, will be on hand to answer
questions and converse about health and wellness. There are
opportunities for fun fitness give-a-ways from the studio.
PilatesPlus specializes in Pilates, an exercise system
focused on improving flexibility and strength for the total body
without building bulk. Fundamentally, the Pilates method decompresses
the spine and stabilizes the pelvis. Offered in group mat classes or
individual privates on the reformer, Pilates enhances physical
awareness by emphasizing control and proper body alignment. By
addressing strength and flexibility, participants stand taller, feel
stronger and achieve ease of motion in many work and recreational
activities.
Pilates promotes physical harmony and balance for people
of all ages and physical conditions while providing a refreshing and
energizing workout.
Because conditioning sessions are done in closely
supervised, each session is tailored to specific needs. Regardless of
the current level of fitness - from sedentary office worker to fitness
enthusiast - Pilates can become an integral part of body conditioning
and injury prevention.
