Salish-Pend d'Oreille Culture Committee announces June 2007 Language and Culture Camp

ST. IGNATIUS — The Salish-Pend d'Oreille Culture Committee will be holding its annual Language and Culture Camp at the Salish Longhouse in St. Ignatius from June 25th to June 29th.

Camp will start at 9 a.m. and end at 4:30 pm daily. Participants will have a variety of Salish Language classes in the morning and early afternoon, and projects and cultural activities in late afternoon. Meals will be served to all registered camp participants.

Campers must be registered. Registration packets can be picked up this week at the Salish-Pend d'Oreille Culture Committee Office. Monday June 25th from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. will be the last day to register.

All ages are welcome. The Culture Committee requires that parents or guardians accompany all children under the age of 10 yrs old. We also encourage parents to accompany older children. Everyone will have the opportunity to learn during camp.

All registered campers and participants including camp staff are required to check in at the registration table daily, which will be located in the main entrance hallway.

Due to safety and liability concerns, parents/guardians of each registered child are required to check in their child at the registration table daily. Please do not just drop off your children.

Parents that do not check in their children will be notified and asked to come back to do so.

If you have any questions feel free to contact the Salish-Pend d'Oreille Culture Committee at (406) 745-4572

Hope to see you on June 25th!
