Public comment on the CSKT TANF plan sought
The Confederated Salish and Kooteanai Tribes are seeking
input on the proposed revision to the CSKT TANF plan. A listening
session will be held on June 25, 2007 in Tribal Council chambers (new
complex) from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. to seek public opinion on those elements
of the plan that are discretionary such as:
• who is eligible for TANF assistance;
• what supports should be provided; and
• what are mandatory elements of the plan such as mentoring and drug tests.
Please note that the required work hours for benefit are
not a discretionary item that can be changed. Those are a firm
requirement. Participants are invited to come and will be given five
minutes to comment in person or a form can be filled out and returned
to the DHRD Department.
Please come - refreshments will be served.
