S&K Electronics signs a multi-million dollar contract with Lockheed Martin
PABLO — On May 30, S&K Electronics signed a
contract with Lockhead Martin Aeronautics Company out of Fort Worth, TX
for MUX bus couplers, which will be used in the manufacture of F-16
Fighting Falcon fighter jets. With more than 4000 F-16s produced, it
continues to be the worlds most popular and sought after multi-role
fighter.
This follow-up contract renews the one that has been in place for the last three years.
"This contract is great news for S&K Electronics and
for Montana. My top-priority is to create more good-paying jobs and
boost our state's economy, and this new contract will go a long way in
accomplishing this," Baucus said. "I'm pleased to see that what started
out as a meeting at my Jobs Summit in Great Falls a few years ago has
blossomed into a mult-million dollar contract."
The new contract is for up to six years and has a value of $2.2 million.
Those present at the signing were representatives for
the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Council and the Montana
Delegation.
In a press release from S&K Electronic, they state
that "S&K Electronics, a Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes
corporation, continues to be a valued supplier to Lockheed Martin
Aeronatics group. S&K Electronics, now in their 23 year, has
continued to show its ability to stay competitive in the US market.
Lockheed Martin is a world leader in their markets with over $39
billion in sales last year and over $75 billion in contract backlog.
S&K Electronics is looking forward to an ever increasing business
relationship with Lockheed Martin Corporation."
