Crime Victim Advocates coordinate response teams

PABLO - The Tribal Crime Victim Advocate Program is in the process of coordinating Community Response Teams, with the idea of helping support battered women and children while also holding batterers accountable for their behavior.

Beginning Wednesday, March 7, there will be meetings the first Wednesday of each month to organize the response teams. The sessions will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Pablo Conference Room at the Tribal Complex.

The April meeting will be held on April 4.

According to the folks at the Crime Victim Advocate Program, communities can make a difference by making sure that all victims have a safe place to turn. The idea is to expand services, develop strong leadership, build partnerships with community groups, and protect confidentiality.
